Keeping a laptop cool in a hot country..
I just spent the last two weeks working from a remote location in Thailand and one of the biggest challenges I faced while I was over there was keeping my laptop from overheating (no, I didn’t have air conditioning). Fortunately for me, before I left I picked up Belkin’s Laptop cooling pad. Despite it’s compact size and single fan, this cooling pad did an excellent job of keeping my mac at a reasonable temperature.
I consider the $23 I spent on the cooling pad money well spent and I will definitely be bringing this back with me when I return to Thailand in a few months.
I give the Belkin’s Laptop pad four out of five paws. It might not be the best way to keep your laptop cool in a hot country, but for $23, it’s hard to beat.
And I’m back in Taiwan…
Once again, I’m sitting in the Taipei airport waiting for a flight. This time, I’m on my way back home to Seattle and Winnie is with me (It is so much more enjoyable traveling with her than without her.)
We have six hours to kill before our flight and we’re hanging out in the Evergreen Club on the upper floor of the airport. Hopefully the flight home will be enjoyable – we’re flying business class for this leg of the trip and the seats recline (not completely) into a little bed.
If anyone cares, we’re somewhere near N 25.07866, E 121.22956 (give or take a significant bit, it’s hard to get good GPS reception inside the airport lounge.
